The IT Systems Engineer program provides students with the extensive training and practical experience needed to build, support, troubleshoot and expand Microsoft network environment.
The program includes six courses. Training begins with Microsoft Windows 7; teaching students to manage basic operating system functionality, monitoring and performance optimization tools, and security features.
Later courses provide students with the opportunity to create and configure Active Directory domains, implement security strategies, manage web authentication, and monitor domain performance to deliver optimal business level networking services. Students will also have extensive familiarity and practice working with TCP/IP. Upon completion of the program, the candidate will capable of deploying, building, designing, optimizing, operating technologies, and maintaining and troubleshooting a Windows network for a particular job role. Students will be able to make the design and technology decisions necessary to implement successful technology projects.
Upon completion of each course, graduates are qualified to take a computerized certification exam with Microsoft. Upon passing the appropriate certification exam, our graduates will earn the Microsoft MCTS and the MCITP Server Engineer certification.
TechSkills has a flexible learning model which allows students to attend 12 to 24 hours per week and progress on an individual basis.
