Health Services Information Specialist
TechSkills’ Health Services Information Specialist (HSIS) program equips you with extensive knowledge of medical office operations. This comprehensive program covers medical billing, insurance, medical terminology, and applying proper diagnostic and procedural coding to claim forms and medical records within state and Federal guidelines.
In addition, HSIS students must successfully complete the requirements of a 120 hour (8 week) externship with a sponsoring health services organization (not all vocational training programs include externships; please contact your local TechSkills campus for details)
Graduates of TechSkills’ HSIS program typically find employment in a variety of healthcare job roles, including:
